A Tale of Two Parties

We attended two parties over the past two weekends...
First was the "grown-up" party, hosted by our friends R&A in their beautiful new home. It was a formal cocktail party and they even hired a bartender! By all measures the party was a success, but you know it's a really good party when you have multiple guests needing time to sleep it off. (Brooke and I were not one of those guests)

Brooke and I hosted the second party: a baby Halloween costume party. We had six babies from our birthing class plus three more from friends. The event started at 5pm and it was still a bit warm for costumes, so Ryan only spent a total of 15 minutes in his monkey costume.

A few of us carved pumpkins. Our group was fairly international, so it was fun to initiate a few people to the Halloween tradition. Here are the results....

Nobody passed out at our party, 80% of the alcohol was left untouched, and everybody cleared out by 8:30, but I still think it was a success.

Pumpkin Patch

It was a bit cold and windy this day, so Ryan wasn't in the mood for photos. We managed to capture a few shots, but I've already promised Brooke that we'd go back for more. Maybe next time we'll dress him up in his Halloween costume....

Coffee to warm us up afterward....

Roll Over

Last night Ryan almost rolled from his back to his tummy...

This morning I saw Ryan roll the other way (tummy to back), so I grabbed the camera and he rolled over again within a couple of minutes....

As of Oct 6th, Ryan weighs 15 lbs 13 oz, is 25.25" long, and has a head circumference of 16.5".

Happy 100 Days!

This past week held a few exciting "firsts" for Ryan:
1) first laugh
2) first purposeful grabbing and holding of an object
3) first time he took notice of himself in a mirror

We were only able to capture the tail end of the first laugh and holding of an object....
