Thanksgiving 2009

Like every year for the past 11 years, Brooke and I drove to Reno for Thanksgiving. This year we extended our trip to 6 days to avoid some the of Thankgiving traffic, plus it was special because it was Ryan's first overnight trip.

We discovered Crepeville in Davis when Brooke was checking out grad schools back in 2002. We would sometimes stop there on our way home from Reno even though it was out of the way. Lucky for us, a couple years ago our friends R & A told us about the Sacramento location. Now we can't pass through Sacramento without stopping there....

With our game-faces on, we drive to the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning....

It was really cold.....

I'm ready, but where's the food....

Waiting to be seated for breakfast on Ryan's first trip to a casino....

Keno! I spent $5 on the ticket and won $1 back...

Dressed for the Apple Cup on Saturday....

I placed a $50 bet on Washington even though the point spread was 25 in favor of Washington. That means that if Washington won by 3 touchdowns and 1 field goal, I still would have lost. Washington didn't let me down though. They won 30-0.

This photo was shot with an ultra wide angle lens (~15mm)...Ryan's head isn't really this big....
